The "General Lee" has been in development for quite some time and the story behind it is an interesting one. In 2013, Grant & Gavin Hawk (legendary father/son knifemaking team) came to QTRMSTR with a proposition. If we'd help them to purchase their previously sold patent back from it's owners, we could use a variation of the patent for our own purpose. We jumped at the opportunity to do it because we were honored to be worthy of such an offer. Many, many months later we came up with the General Lee, a folding knife featuring a modernized version of the Hawk's "external toggle" mechanism. Likely the most unique knife in our 3 year history, "General Lee" does not possess a traditional lock. Instead, your hand will act as the lock when the handle is gripped, the force you exert is multiplied by the mechanism and the design instills great confidence in its user.
